How do I add a lead and follow it up?

Every person or company interested in your services is recorded in Sales as a card. The card moves through the stages until it closes as won or lost. What matters is that every open card has a next step with a date.

Steps

  1. Open Sales from the side menu. The Deals page opens.
  2. Click Add deal.
  3. Type the Company name (required), then the First name, Last name, Phone and Email of the person you talk to.
  4. Add the expected Value and the Expected close date, and choose the Owner, Source and Priority.
  5. Under Needed services, pick the services the lead is asking about, or type a new one.
  6. Click Add deal. The card is placed in the first stage of your pipeline automatically.
  7. Click the card's name, then click Open deal to open its page, and click Schedule activity.
  8. Choose the activity type (Call, Meeting, Email, WhatsApp, Task) and set the Due date, or click Tomorrow, In 3 days or Next week. Then click Schedule.
  9. After each contact, write what happened under Add a note and click Save note. Then click Done next to the finished activity and set the next step.

Good to know

  • Leave Deal name empty and it is written for you from the company or contact name.
  • From the card you can reach the lead directly with the Call, WhatsApp and Email buttons.
  • In Kanban view, click No next step to see every card with no follow-up scheduled, Rotting for cards that have sat in their stage too long, and My deals for your own cards only.
  • Already have a list? Open More and click Import CSV to add them all at once.
  • A lead is not yet a record under Clients. When you win the deal and create its project, a client record is created for it or it is linked to the existing one.
  • An employee sees the Sales pages only if their job role allows it.
  • In a new workspace you may find Sales under More in the side menu.
