The Kanban board shows each sales stage as a column and each deal as a card in its column. At a glance you know where every deal stands and what it is worth.
Steps
- Open Sales from the side menu.
- Click Kanban view at the top of the page.
- Drag a card out of its column and drop it in the column of the new stage. The stage is saved at once.
- To see a deal's details, click the card's name. To open its full page, open the card's menu and click Open deal.
- On the deal page, the stage path runs across the top. Click any stage to move the deal there.
- If the client says no, click Lost. Pick the reason (Price too high, Chose a competitor, No budget, Bad timing, Went silent, Scope mismatch) or type one, then click Confirm loss.
- If the client says yes, click Won and follow the steps to close the deal.
Good to know
- Every stage has a probability. When you move a deal, its win probability changes with it. The weighted value and the forecast at the top of the board are calculated from it.
- A loss reason is required. A deal cannot be closed as lost without one. These reasons are what later tell you why you lose deals.
- Drop a card on the won column to start closing the deal, or on the lost column to be asked for the reason.
- A closed deal can be brought back from its page with Reopen.
- In Table view you can select several deals and move them to one stage, or assign them an owner, in one go.
- The quick buttons on the board are All, My deals, Rotting, No next step and Closing this month. You can save a view you use often under Saved views.
- A card shows how many days the deal has spent in its stage and warns you when the expected close date has passed.
