Prepare a campaign and pass the launch checklist

Take a campaign from brief to a paused campaign on the ad platform, with nothing forgotten.

From the Professional plan Updated 7 November 2026
Prepare a campaign and pass the launch checklist

A campaign brief keeps the objective, audience, budget, creatives and copy in one place, and a checklist makes sure nothing is missing before any money is spent.

Before you start

  • Link the client's ad account, page and pixel to the project.
  • You need permission to edit the project.

Steps

  1. Open the client's project and choose Ads & performance from the project menu.
  2. Open the Campaigns tab. Under Campaign launches, press Launch a campaign.
  3. Fill in the brief: Campaign name, Objective, Channels, the target audience, the offer, countries, Total budget, Daily budget, dates and Landing page. Press Create brief.
  4. Open Creatives. Press Suggest from channels or add your own lines, then Create tasks. Each request becomes a project task for the designer or editor.
  5. When a creative is delivered, paste its final link and press Approve.
  6. Open Copy and save the ad text for each channel. See "Write ad copy with AI".
  7. Open Checklist & launch. Work through the eight items: Ad accounts, Tracking, UTMs, Budget approval, Creatives approved, Copy, Landing page and Client approval.
  8. For Landing page, press Check now. For Client approval, press Send to client, or Record client approval if they agreed by phone or email.
  9. When every item is green, press Create on the platforms and confirm.

Good to know

  • Campaigns are always created paused. Nothing is spent until you turn the campaign on in the ad platform after a final review.
  • Creating the campaign from Upcycle is available for Meta only for now, and the Meta connection must include permission to manage ads. If it does not, the Ad accounts item tells you to reconnect.
  • Channels marked (manual) are created by you on the platform. Use the UTM campaign name shown in the brief and the campaign links to the project at the next sync.
  • The budget item passes when an account manager presses Approve budget, or when the budget sits inside an approved media plan. Changing the budget afterwards asks for a new approval.
  • The landing page check is valid for one day. Check again if you launch later.
  • The ready landing links with UTMs are listed under Landing URLs with UTMs. Copy them from there.
