Upcycle has two places for files: Documents inside each project for that project's files, and the Files page for general company files that need folders and share links.
Steps
Upload a file inside a project
- Open the project and choose Documents from the project menu.
- Click Add file (or the upload button in the middle of the page if it is empty).
- Drag the file into the window or click to choose it. You can type a name and a description and pick a Folder.
- Click Upload file.
- To save an outside link (a design, a document, a website), open the Links tab and click Add link.
Upload a company file and share it
- In the side menu, open More, then Files.
- Click Upload files, pick the Folder, and set Who can see it: Only me, My team or Anyone with the link. Then click Upload.
- To share a file, open its Details and click Share.
- Choose the Permission (View only or View and download). You can also set an expiry date, a download limit and a password.
- Click Create link, then Copy link, and send it to whoever needs it.
Good to know
- Inside a project: files up to 50 MB. Accepted types include PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, images and compressed files.
- On the Files page: up to 20 files at a time, 100 MB each.
- Files in a project's Documents are for your team. They are not shown to the client in the client portal.
- To stop a share link, click Revoke link. It stops working at once. You find every link under All share links.
- To update a file without losing the old one, open its details and click Upload new version with the same file type.
- Click New folder to organise company files, for example one folder per client.
- Storage space depends on your plan. See the plans page.
