A project holds everything about a client's work: tasks, files, team and dates. You can create it with a name only and fill in the rest later, or start from a ready template that already has phases and tasks.
Steps
Quick project
- Open Projects from the side menu.
- Click New project.
- Type the Project name and pick the Client if there is one. If the client is not saved yet, click Add client in the same list.
- Click Create project. The project appears in the list right away. Add the team, dates and budget whenever you are ready.
Project from a template
- On the Projects page, click the small arrow next to New project, then choose From a template.
- Pick the template that fits and click Next.
- Type the Project name, then choose the Client and the Execution team. Below them you see the Project structure & phases the template will add.
- Click Save. The new project opens with its phases and tasks in place.
Good to know
- A quick project starts with the status "Planning" and medium priority. You can change both from the project page.
- To set the type, priority, dates and team from the start, click Advanced setup (full form) inside the New project window.
- The same arrow also offers With AI: describe the project and it suggests phases and tasks for you to review before saving.
- At the top of the page you can switch the view: Grid, List view, Board, Timeline.
- A team member sees the projects they created, manage or belong to. Add your colleagues to the project team so they can see it.
- When you pick a client for a project, that client sees the project in the client portal once they have portal access.
- The Free plan allows a limited number of projects. See the plans page for the limits of each plan.
