You write the post once and Upcycle shows you how it will look on each platform before it goes out.
Before you start
- Link the client's accounts to the project first. Only linked platforms can publish.
- You need permission to edit the project.
Steps
- Open Projects from the side menu and choose the client's project.
- In the project menu, under Marketing delivery, open Social media, then the Content & calendar tab.
- Press New post.
- Under Platforms, choose where the post goes.
- Choose the Format: Post, Carousel, Reel / video or Story.
- Give it an Internal title. The audience does not see it.
- Write the Caption. You can use Insert hashtags, Insert template, Short link or Write with AI.
- Under Media, press Upload file, or paste an image link or a Google Drive or Dropbox share link and press Add. Reuse earlier media shows pictures and videos already used in this project.
- Choose the Content pillar and, if you want, a Campaign.
- Set the Publish date. Use best time fills in the time your audience is most active. Add to queue picks the next free best time.
- Check the Preview for each platform.
- Press Save draft to keep working later, or Save & submit for review to start the approval steps.
Good to know
- The counter under the caption shows the length against each platform's limit. You cannot save while the caption is over a limit.
- Uploads accept JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF pictures and MP4 or MOV video up to 20 MB. A Drive or Dropbox file must be shared with anyone who has the link.
- Instagram needs a picture or a video in the post.
- Once a post is approved and its date is in the future, it moves to Scheduled on its own and is published at that time. If it has no date yet, open it and press Schedule.
- If a post shows Failed, open it to read the reason for each platform, fix it, then press Retry. Platforms that already published are not posted again.
- A published post cannot be edited. Use Duplicate to start a new one from it.
- There is a short video, "Schedule a post with video and photos", in the Video tutorials tab of the help page.
