The calendar shows what is going out for this client, day by day, and what stage each post is in.
Before you start
- You need permission to edit the project to add or move posts. Team members who can only view the project see the calendar but cannot change it.
Steps
- Open Projects from the side menu and choose the client's project.
- In the project menu, under Marketing delivery, open Social media, then the Content & calendar tab.
- Above the posts, switch from Board or List to Calendar.
- Use the arrows to move to the previous or next month. Today brings you back to the current month.
- To add a post on a certain day, move the mouse over that day and press the plus sign. The post window opens with that date filled in.
- To change a post's day, drag it to another day. It keeps its time.
- To give a date to a draft that has none, drag it from Drafts without a date onto a day.
- Press any post to open its details, read its history, or change it.
Good to know
- The colour of each post shows its stage: draft, internal review, changes requested, with client, approved, scheduled, published or failed.
- Published posts are fixed and cannot be moved.
- A draft dragged from Drafts without a date gets an evening time. Open the post to change the time.
- Pillar mix this month compares what is planned for each content pillar with the target you set in the plan.
- On a phone the calendar shows as a list called Month agenda. Dragging works on a computer.
- Board shows the same posts as columns, one per stage. List shows them as a table you can search and filter by stage, platform and pillar.
- The Content calendar item in the project menu is a separate, wider page for the project's content. The calendar described here is the one inside Social media.
