Prepare and share the monthly client report

The report gathers the month's numbers, what you delivered against what was agreed, the best posts and your recommendations, ready to send to the client.

Before you start

  • The project must be linked to a client to share the report in their portal.
  • You need permission to edit the project to write notes and share. Anyone who can view the project can download the PDF.

Steps

  1. Open Projects from the side menu and choose the client's project.
  2. In the project menu, under Marketing delivery, open Social media, then the Analytics & reports tab.
  3. Switch to Monthly client report.
  4. Choose the Month. You can go back up to twelve months.
  5. Review the month summary, deliverables, platform performance and highlights.
  6. Write your notes and recommendations in the notes box, or press Write with AI to get a draft from the month's numbers. Review it, then press Save.
  7. Under What the client's report includes, tick the sections you want and drag them into the order you prefer.
  8. Press Download PDF to get the file.
  9. Press Share in client portal and confirm. The PDF is added to the client's documents in the portal, in the Social media reports folder.

Good to know

  • To send the report every month without doing it by hand, go to Monthly report, sent automatically, turn on Send it every month, type the client's e-mail addresses in E-mail it to and press Save. On the first day of each month, last month's report goes to the client's portal and to those addresses with the PDF attached.
  • The sections you choose apply to the PDF, the portal copy and the monthly e-mail.
  • Previously shared reports lists every report you have already shared. Next to each one, a WhatsApp button opens a ready message to the client's contact with a link that opens the report in their portal, no password, for 30 days.
  • Numbers come from the linked accounts. If they look out of date, press Sync now at the top of the page and open the report again.
  • For day-to-day figures, the Analytics & reports tab shows performance by platform, post, content pillar and format, and the best times to post, for the last 7, 30 or 90 days or 12 months.
  • The AI draft uses the company's monthly AI allowance.
  • There is a short video, "Monthly client report with AI", in the Video tutorials tab of the help page.
