Connect the client's social accounts to a project

Each client project has its own pages and accounts. You connect an account once for the company, then choose which project uses it.

Before you start

  • You need permission to edit the project.
  • Sign in with the Facebook or TikTok profile that manages the client's page or account.
  • An Instagram account must be a business account linked to a Facebook page.

Steps

  1. Open Projects from the side menu and choose the client's project.
  2. In the project menu, under Marketing delivery, open Integrations.
  3. If the company has not connected the account yet, press Connections hub, connect Facebook and Instagram there with Connect, then come back to the project.
  4. Press Link account.
  5. In Link type choose Page.
  6. In Account choose the connected sign-in.
  7. In Choose the account or page pick the client's Facebook page, then press Link.
  8. Repeat steps 4 to 7 for the client's Instagram account. Facebook pages and Instagram accounts are linked one by one.
  9. For TikTok, go to the Pages and pixels section, find TikTok account — content & posting, press Connect TikTok account and approve the content and posting permissions. If the company already has a TikTok account connected, press Link to this project.
  10. Press Test next to a linked account to check that it works.

Good to know

  • Facebook and Instagram connection is being rolled out. If Facebook stops with "Feature Unavailable", nothing is wrong on your side. Contact support and we will help you connect your pages.
  • The first time you open Social media after linking, Upcycle pulls the page's recent posts, comments and numbers. After that it updates on its own, and you can press Sync now at any time.
  • If you see Reconnect to grant permissions, press Reconnect Meta and approve every permission requested.
  • Your plan sets how many platform connections the company can have. See the plans page. The Social media workspace itself is part of the Professional plan.
  • Want to try the workspace first? In Social media, open More, then Plan & strategy, and under Connected accounts press Add, then Connect a demo account. Posts to a demo account are not published anywhere.
  • There is a short video, "Connect your platforms", in the Video tutorials tab of the help page.
