Who can open your workspace, and the access log

No one at Upcycle opens your workspace without your approval, the approval of the person you choose, or a legal order, and you see every entry in your log.

From the Starter plan Updated 8 November 2026

No one at Upcycle opens your workspace without your approval, the approval of the person you choose, or a legal order, and you see every entry in your log. Support asks first, and you answer Approve or Refuse.

Before you start

  • Approval comes from the workspace owner, or from one deputy the owner chooses.
  • Anyone in your team can ask support for help, but only the owner or the deputy can approve.

Steps

  1. Open Settings from the side menu, then press Support access at the top.
  2. Under Requests waiting for you you see who asks to come in, why, which part, and whether it is view only or view and edit. Press Approve or Refuse. You also get a notification and, when your number is on file, the ask on WhatsApp with the same two buttons.
  3. To choose a deputy who can answer when you are away, pick them under Approvals deputy and press Save.
  4. If you need help yourself, describe the problem and choose the part under Need help from support?, then press Ask for help.
  5. Under Access log you find every ask, your approval or refusal, who came in, when, and for how long.

Good to know

  • After approval, support comes in once, for 30 minutes, only in the part you approved.
  • The visit is view only, unless the ask included editing and you approved it.
  • An ask nobody answers closes by itself after 24 hours; if you approve and support does not come in within an hour, the approval ends.
  • The only exception is an official legal order: it is written in your access log with its reference, it is view only, and we tell you about it unless the law forbids it.
  • The access log is shown to the workspace owner and the deputy.
