The client approves or asks for changes from their own portal, and every decision is saved in the post's history.
Before you start
- The project must be linked to a client.
- The client needs at least one active contact with access to the client portal.
- You need permission to edit the project.
Steps
- Open Projects from the side menu and choose the client's project.
- In the project menu, under Marketing delivery, open Social media, then Content & calendar.
- Press the post to open its details.
- Press Submit for review if your team reviews posts first. The reviewer then presses Approve internally, and the post goes to the client.
- To send it to the client directly, press Send to client.
- Open the post again. Under Send the client a one-click approval link you see each client contact. Press Send on WhatsApp to open WhatsApp with a ready message, or Copy link to send it another way.
- Open the Approvals tab to follow up. It has four lists: Internal review, With client, Changes requested and Recently approved.
- If the client asks for changes, the post moves to Changes requested with their note. Edit the post and send it again.
Good to know
- The client opens the link without a password, sees the post, and chooses to approve or request changes. The link works only for that contact and that post, for 14 days.
- When the client approves and the post's date is in the future, it becomes Scheduled on its own.
- If the client approved by phone or in a chat, press Client approved offline to record it.
- Request changes always needs a note that says what to change.
- A post waiting longer than the client response window is marked Overdue. You set the window in Plan & strategy.
- The Approvals tab also shows your first-time approval rate and the client's average turnaround.
- To switch the internal review or the client approval step on or off, open More, then Plan & strategy, then Edit retainer.
- There is a short video, "Client approval", in the Video tutorials tab of the help page.
