Upcycle is a large system, so a new workspace starts with one card on the dashboard that asks one question at a time. Each answer creates the real thing.
Before you start
- The card is shown to the workspace owner and admins during the first 30 days.
Steps
- Open Dashboard from the side menu. The card at the top greets you by name.
- Marketing companies can take the fast route. Under Start with a real client in one minute, paste your client's website, name or Instagram handle and press Build their first two weeks. In about a minute you get the client, a social media project and two weeks of draft posts.
- Or answer by hand. Type the name of your first client and press Add.
- Answer the next question to create the project. You can press one of the ideas beside Or pick:.
- Type your first task, choose Today, Tomorrow or Within a week, and press Add.
- Under What next? press Open your project, Invite your team, Connect social accounts or Task board.
- Press Done, hide this to close the card. You can press Skip at any point before that.
- To see every area of the system, open More in the side menu and press Show the full menu.
Good to know
- On the first day we add one example client, project and a few tasks so the screens are not empty. Press Remove the examples to delete them. Only the examples are removed, never your own work.
- A real estate company is asked about its first property, the first interested client and the next follow-up instead.
- If the workspace has no field yet, the card first asks What kind of business is this workspace?
- After you close the card, a checklist called Start here takes its place. Its steps are ticked by themselves as you work. Press Hide to put it away.
- The side menu is short in the first days. The rest waits under More, and nothing is removed. The full menu comes back by itself once you have your own client and your own post or task, or after 14 days.
- If the draft posts cannot be written right now, you see a message. Try again in a minute or add the client by hand.
