Your team lives on the Employees page inside Human resources. From there you invite people to the workspace, approve them, and keep a file for each employee.
Steps
- Open Human resources from the side menu, then Employees. If you do not see Human resources, look under More.
- In the Invite team members card, click Copy link and send the link to your employee, for example over WhatsApp or email.
- The employee opens the link, fills in their name, email, phone and job title, chooses a password, and clicks Join team. Their account now waits for your approval.
- Go back to Employees. The person appears under Pending employee registrations. Click Approve to let them in, or Suspend to refuse.
- Once approved, the employee can sign in, and an employee file is created for them automatically.
To add an employee file by hand instead:
- On the Employees page, click New employee.
- Fill in the first name, last name and email, choose the Department and the position, the work type and the hire date. If the department does not exist yet, click Add new department in the same window.
- Click Add employee.
Good to know
- A file you add by hand is a record only. It does not create a login. To give someone access to Upcycle, send them the invite link.
- The same invite link works for the whole team. Anyone who joins with it still needs your approval before they can sign in.
- Only the workspace owner, an admin or a user with the HR role can approve or suspend a pending registration.
- The number of users depends on your plan. In Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE: up to 3 on Starter, up to 8 on Company, up to 20 on Professional (the plan of the free trial) and no limit on Enterprise, and you can buy extra users on top of your plan's number. In countries priced per user: up to 10 on Starter and up to 50 on Professional. When the limit is reached, the invite link stops accepting new people.
- To add many employees at once, open More on the Employees page and choose Import.
- To set a salary, edit the employee and fill in Basic salary under Salary information. Payroll uses this figure.
- An employee sees their own file. Salary details are visible only to the employee, the owner and admins, and HR or payroll staff.
